Had a lovely 2 weeks on that boat,What a wonderful location.So close to all the excitement,Great for a walking vacation,Did at least 10 miles a day myself and still didn’t see everything.Great chinese foot massages all over china town 2 blocks away.I suggest you feed the swans,ducks,and coots it was like having pets on the water and crackers are cheap.I would suggest seeing Amsterdam this way.
This is where we always stay when we come to Amsterdam. Before staying here we stayed at a variety of hotels and houseboats, but now we stay here exclusively. It provides a level of comfort and freedom that few other houseboats can boast, and it’s in a great neighborhood just off the beaten tourist path and only a 5 minute walk from the train station. This is how seasoned repeat visitors do Amsterdam. We highly recommend it.
Thanks for a brill 4 days on the houseboat in July 2011. Great Location, 5 mins from train station, close walk to all amenities but very quite stretch of canal which was picturesque and quirky. Lovely bistro 2 steps away which serve drinks till late and local delicacies and importantly very pleasant staff. For all who are sick of being disturbed by room service and noisy guests this is the ideal place to stay in Amsterdam. Hopefully we will be back soon, James and Natasha
We enjoyed our stay at the houseboat, great location, close to the train station and China town. Lots of nice restaurants, bars and a supermarket near by. We had wonderful weather so we walked all over the city, we loved Amsterdam and staying on the boat gave us that “I AMSTERDAM” feeling. We’ll surely come again!
We stayed here with our 2 year old son and absolutely loved it! We’re looking forward to coming back to stay here again. Mirko is a generous and helpful host and the houseboat is just wonderful. It’s bright, spacious, tranquil, and gives a sense of independence. We were also perfectly happy to just stay aboard and relax during the frequent rain- the other reviewers who recommend bringing decent rain gear are right, especially if you plan to cycle! A great combination of peace and spaciousness right in the heart of the city. I couldn’t recommend this houseboat enough, we felt very at home. It also proved to be secure enough for a small toddler with lots of energy as the deck is past the front door and the windows are relatively high. The location’s excellent, you can get your bearings easily and quickly.
We have been staying in this houseboat for years…we wouldn’t stay anywhere else…the location is the best and being in a neighborhood that is so friendly makes the stay even more fun…the houseboat is so much fun to be in…a little home away from home and has anything you would want or need…
The houseboat is a wonderful place to stay in Amsterdam.
The only place I like to stay when visiting Amsterdam, close to the train station, in a beautiful neighborhood with easy walking to Nieuwe Markt, Chinatown, Amstel.
The boat is very comfortable with many niceties that are far superior to any hotel.
The first few days of my holiday my internal clock is often aray, wide awake at 3am is never fun in a boring hotel room, but at the boat you can make some tea and toast and have a seat on the deck and feed the swans and ducks, watch the canal wake up, Now part of my trip I look forward to.
The houseboat also has a wonderful bathroom, with tub. A wonderful necessitie after walking miles around Amsterdam.

The houseuboat is very well located, close to everything that matters. The house is nice, clean and wide, with great views over the canal. It was one of the best experiences we had on our trip to Europe. recommend it. desire to return soon.
This houseboat is clean and very comfortable, spacious, well furnished and equipped with all amenities, also located in the city center but in a quiet area. The owner is very friendly and helpful. I recommend everyone to stay on a houseboat to enjoy Amsterdam and this is really good.
